Lakarla Williams is a HIV/STI services professional with 16 years of dedicated experience. She holds a degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is an active member of the Black Women and PreP Task Force, as well as the Trans Advisory Board. Lakarla’s expertise was honed during her tenure as a project coordinator at CrescentCare St. Roch, where she played a pivotal role in community health initiatives. Currently, Lakarla serves as the HIV/STI Lead Navigator at HHM Health, extending counseling and support services to diverse communities within the Dallas Area. Lakarla is also involved in creating safe spaces for sex trafficking victims. Her diverse interests include sewing, cake decorating, bowling, and engaging in community activities, and her lifelong motto is “Don’t look down on someone unless you are looking down to help them up.”
