HHM Health is proud to announce the expansion of our behavioral health services with a new focus on opioid use disorder (OUD) and substance use disorder (SUD) counseling. This enhanced service line is designed to provide compassionate, culturally competent care for individuals and families navigating recovery.
Through this initiative, HHM Health is strengthening care coordination and expanding access to treatment by adding specialized staff, including Community Health Navigators and a dedicated SUD therapist. These team members will support patients at every stage—from initial outreach and assessment to treatment and long-term recovery—ensuring no one falls through the cracks.
Our approach emphasizes “warm hand-offs,” connecting patients seamlessly from primary care or walk-in visits to behavioral health services and community-based resources such as medication-assisted treatment (MAT), housing, and social support. By addressing key social determinants of health and reducing barriers like language access and complex intake processes, we aim to make recovery services more accessible than ever.
With a growing need for opioid and substance use services in Dallas County, this expansion allows HHM Health to reach more underserved populations, reduce wait times, and improve follow-through with care. Our goal is simple: to meet patients where they are and guide them toward lasting recovery with dignity and support.
HHM Health stands steadfast in its commitment to combatting the opioid overdose epidemic through a multifaceted approach. We provide a comprehensive range of services, including counseling, prevention efforts, and improved access to care for individuals struggling with opioid use disorder, aiming to tackle the underlying causes of opioid misuse and overdose. As a beacon of hope in the fight against this pressing public health crisis, HHM Health is dedicated to fostering a safer and healthier environment for all of Collin, Denton, Dallas, and Tarrant counties.
The Overdose Trainer Pilot Program is a grant opportunity from SAMHSA which is the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration organization who works to end homelessness among people with mental health and substance use disorders. SAMHSA provides millions of dollars in grants annually to grantees who work in vulnerable populations to address health disparities. Our grant provides training for providers and families who have dealt with persons who use illicit substances and may have overdosed or have the potential to overdose by training in Narcan and CPR administration. After program completion the participant will receive a certificate of completion as a Trainer which is renewable every two years.
Join HHM Health, the leader in professional training, with our Train the Trainer program designed for Community Based Organizations’ and Healthcare Personnel.
