Adelita E. Servin graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from Texas Woman’s University and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work. Her long-term goal is to become a Clinical Social Worker and serve as a strong advocate for mental health awareness, access, and equity. During her undergraduate studies, Adelita completed an internship with the DFW Area Health Education Center, where she contributed to initiatives aimed at developing a diverse healthcare workforce, promoting health literacy within the community, and supporting programs addressing complicated grief disorder through planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting.
She also interned at Foremost Family Health Center, where she gained experience in human resources, including I-9 compliance and behavioral interviewing, while also job shadowing a Community Outreach Specialist. This experience deepened her understanding of the purpose and critical role of Federally Qualified Health Centers in serving underserved populations.
Adelita is passionate about addressing not only mental health symptoms, but also the social, environmental, and economic factors that influence overall well-being. She is committed to bridging gaps in care, advocating for clients, promoting mental health awareness, and advancing policies that improve access to equitable support.
Her mission is to not only treat mental health conditions but to help create systems and environments where mental health support is accessible, equitable, and fully integrated with broader social services.
