Brian A. Hawkins has served as Chief Executive Officer of HHM Health since May 2021, where he leads the organization’s mission to provide compassionate, accessible, and high-quality care to uninsured and underinsured patients across nine locations.
He brings a strong background in healthcare leadership, joining HHM from Family Health Centers in Baltimore, where he served as President and CEO. Prior to that, he spent 27 years with the Department of Veterans Affairs, including seven years as CEO of the Washington, D.C. VA Medical Center, along with numerous leadership roles focused on improving operations nationwide.
Mr. Hawkins holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Health Administration from Governors State University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on multiple professional and community boards, including as a delegate to the American Hospital Association Regional Policy Board. He also served in the Illinois Army National Guard and as an adjunct professor at Northeastern State University.
He is married with two children.
