Stephanie Velasco, LMSW, is a bilingual therapist who provides compassionate, culturally responsive counseling to adolescents and families. She earned her Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Emory University.
Stephanie has experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in clinical, school, and community-based settings. Her background includes crisis intervention, risk assessment, maternal mental health, family counseling, and assisting clients experiencing trauma, stress, and significant life transitions. She has specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and perinatal maternal and paternal mental health.
Fluent in Spanish, Stephanie is especially committed to expanding access to mental health care for Spanish-speaking and underserved communities. She uses a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered approach to help each person feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout the healing process.
