Pediatric physical therapy helps infants, children, and adolescents develop or improve their movement, strength, balance, coordination, and functional mobility. PTs work with children with developmental delays, neurological or orthopedic conditions, injuries, and other challenges that affect their ability to participate in everyday activities, school, or sports.
My name is CJ Linn. I am a pediatric physical therapist who is initiating pediatric physical therapy services in Kaufman Texas under HHM Health at Children’s Medical Clinics located at 1011 W. Grove St. Growing up in Kaufman, I was fortunate to be part of this community and to experience it from the perspective of a student and athlete. I played sports here, attended school here, and developed many of the relationships and experiences that shaped who I am today. After graduating, I left Kaufman to attend school in Austin for my undergraduate degree and pursued my education in physical therapy with Baylor University. My goal is to improve the lives of children and caregivers by helping patients achieve greater independence, mobility, and participation in life through family-centered, evidence-based physical therapy. Families should not have to travel long distances to find care for their children, especially when that care can be provided within the community they call home.
For me, this project is more than simply starting a physical therapy service. It is an opportunity to give back to the community that helped shape me. I grew up playing sports on these fields, went to school alongside many of the families who still live here, and eventually left home to pursue my career. Now, I have the opportunity to bring the knowledge and experience I gained along the way back to Kaufman and use it to serve local children and families. I am excited about the opportunity to build something that will have a lasting impact on the community—not only by providing pediatric physical therapy, but by helping children in Kaufman reach their potential and participate fully in the things that matter most to them.
