Dr. Marcel Thompson is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist with extensive experience in private practice and six years of military service at two of the largest obstetrics programs in the United States Army, serving at Fort Hood, Texas, and Fort Bragg.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Prairie View A&M University and his medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship in Detroit, Michigan, followed by his residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Thompson‘s clinical interests include perimenopausal care, hormonal health, weight management, integrative medicine, maternal and child health, and improving access to quality healthcare. He is also passionate about supporting patients through opioid dependency treatment and HIV PrEP services.
Throughout his career, Dr. Thompson has been active in professional and community leadership, serving with organizations including the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, and March of Dimes, where he advocated for maternal health initiatives.
Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family, listening to music, and exploring the outdoors through camping and hiking.
