HHM Health proudly operates two youth and family medicine clinics within the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) schools—Redbird and Kiosco. Students and their families can receive same-day preventative services at Redbird and Kiosco. Some services offered at Redbird and Kiosco include but are not limited to well-child visits, vaccinations, gynecological services, adult physicals, and management of chronic adult disease. HHM Health is dedicated to fostering a culture of proactive health management, promoting the well-being of DISD students and their families.
HHM Health is partnering with Bexa Equity Alliance to provide free breast examinations to patients. Bexa, an innovative FDA-cleared 510(k) medical device, utilizes advanced high-resolution elastography to, in most cases, find abnormal breast tissues and masses, including breast cancer. This exam does not involve radiation. While these examinations are not meant to replace or discourage mammograms, Bexa exams offer several benefits to patients, particularly those below forty, pregnant, or nursing. Some benefits of Bexa include:
HHM Health offers women and expectant mothers a unique opportunity through Inovcares, a telehealth platform designed with cultural sensitivity in mind. Patients can communicate instantly and securely with a provider through a user-friendly mobile app. Inovacares also offers personalized support in fertility, family planning, childbirth, breastfeeding, mental health, and more. Beyond direct consultations, patients can access virtual health assessments, personalized reports, wellness tracking, and prescription delivery services. This collaboration with Inovcares underscores HHM Health’s commitment to using technology to increase accessibility, convenience, affordability, and compassion for healthcare for all.
The HHM Health Women’s Clinics provides medical care for women in all stages of life, including obstetrics, gynecology surgery, family planning, hormonal therapy, and birth control counseling. Our family planning services include free pregnancy tests and various forms of birth control, including the pill, shot, condom, contraceptive implant, hormone patch, IUD, vaginal contraceptive ring, and vaginal spermicide. Qualified women and girls in Dallas County may be able to access free birth control methods such as birth control pills and IUDs through the Trust Her initiative of our partner, Child Poverty Action Labs.
In the face of a persistent rate of HIV/AIDS cases in Dallas County, particularly in zip codes heavily impacting our patient base, HHM Health remains steadfast in its commitment to awareness, education, and improved accessibility to testing, prevention, and treatment services. Providing PrEP, a daily medication regimen proven to reduce the risk of HIV infection in high-risk populations, is a cornerstone of our efforts. Our offerings include oral PrEP options in pill form, providing a practical and effective prevention method for individuals of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, and lifestyles. Alongside PrEP, we prioritize holistic care by offering behavioral health support, ensuring individuals receive counseling and guidance. Our mission is to empower individuals, irrespective of their HIV status, to lead fulfilling lives. Through robust support and preventive measures, HHM Health is dedicated to helping our community live free from fear.
As part of our commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and enabling successful resettlement of refugees within the Dallas community, HHM Health offers free monthly Cooking Classes in our Nutrition Education room, where volunteers will teach refugees how to make simple American recipes while learning how to use western appliances. These classes also aim to enable our patients to prepare healthy and affordable meals. HHM Health introduced this program to emphasize the link between kitchen skills, family nutrition, and overall health.
HHM Health has partnered with the North Texas Food Bank to extend a helping hand to those in eligible low-income households through enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
