David Hernandez, CPA, has served as Chief Financial Officer of HHM Health since January 2020. With more than a decade of experience in healthcare and nonprofit financial leadership, David oversees the organization’s financial strategy, compliance, and operational performance. At HHM Health, he leads GAAP-compliant reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and grant management, while supporting key initiatives that strengthen organizational sustainability and expand access to care.
Before joining HHM Health, David worked as an auditor with BKD, LLP, where he specialized in financial audits for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), nonprofit organizations, and governmental hospitals. His experience in audit, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance provides a strong foundation for his role in guiding HHM Health’s financial integrity and growth.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.
