Healing Hands Ministries Names New CEO
Brian A. Hawkins
March 23, 2021 – Healing Hands Ministries, a, faith-based, patient-centered non-profit community health center in Dallas, has named accomplished healthcare executive Brian A. Hawkins as its new chief executive officer. In this position Hawkins will oversee Healing Hands Ministries’ mission work providing compassionate, accessible and quality healthcare through more than 42,000 annual patient visits with uninsured and underinsured patients at its two area campuses.
Heading to North Texas from the nation’s capital, Hawkins brings a distinguished background in healthcare management. For the past two years, Hawkins served as President and CEO of Family Health Centers in Baltimore, a fellow federally qualified health center. Prior to this position, Hawkins spent 27 years serving our nation’s veterans in the Department of Veterans Affairs, culminating with a seven-year term as CEO of the District of Columbia VA Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Hawkins previously served in numerous other leadership positions with the VA, including medical centers across the country where he was tapped to head-up and improve operations, including most recently, Muskogee, Baltimore, and Nashville.

Mr. Hawkins will begin his position in early May.
